GETTING STARTED WITH WIDEX REMOTE CARE™

Step-by-step guide for professionals

REGISTER THE REMOTE LINK IN COMPASS GPS

To sign up a WIDEX REMOTE LINK™ to a specific client, click “REMOTE CARE (Sign Up)”. The hearing devices do not need to be connected.

Next, use the cable to connect the WIDEX REMOTE LINK™ to your computer. Click “Register REMOTE LINK”.

PAIR THE REMOTE LINK TO THE CLIENT'S PHONE

Install the WIDEX REMOTE CARE™ app on the client’s phone. Download the WIDEX REMOTE CARE™ app in the App Store or Google Play, and follow the steps shown on the screen.

Start the WIDEX REMOTE LINK™ by pressing the button for five seconds. When the blue light starts flashing, the device is ready to be Bluetooth-paired with the phone.

STARTING THE REMOTE CARE SESSION

OPEN COMPASS GPS

Click on “REMOTE CARE” in the upper left corner. The WIDEX REMOTE CARE™ window opens.

At the scheduled time, click “Join meeting”. The client’s video connection starts in the REMOTE CARE™ window when he/she joins the meeting.

CONNECTING THE HEARING DEVICES

Select “Connect” in COMPASS GPS, to connect to the hearing devices. WIDEX REMOTE LINK™ is pre-selected as a programming device.

The hearing aid symbol under the WIDEX REMOTE CARE™ window shows that the WIDEX REMOTE LINK™ is searching for the hearing devices.

DISCONNECTING HEARING DEVICES

Disconnect the hearing devices and close COMPASS GPS as normal. The WIDEX REMOTE CARE™ window will be left open to allow for final discussions such as scheduling a new meeting, saying goodbye, etc.

End the meeting by closing the WIDEX REMOTE CARE™ window.
